GrafTech International Holdings, Inc. is a global company with over 100 years of experience in the carbon and graphite industry. We manufacture and provide high-quality natural and synthetic graphite and carbon products and services. Our Refractory Systems Sales team has an immediate opening for a Regional Account Manager. This position will be located in our China office.
The primary functions of this position will include striving to achieve sales goals through effective management of multiple customer accounts, properly utilizing GrafTech customer service support mechanisms, meeting with decision-makers at regional accounts to demonstrate the organization’s commitment to its customers, managing and administering Sales and Marketing Plans and professional sales activities, as well as aiding the Regional Sales Manager and GrafTech management by contributing to the planning/development of pricing, marketing, and commercialization strategies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Plan and organize regional sales initiative to achieve established goals.
- Accountable for realizing regional sales while maintaining budgetary boundaries.
- Participate in trade shows, conventions, exhibits and company functions.
- Furnish recommendations to the Technical Service engineers concerning field tests or complaint investigations.
- Handle regional problems of delivery, price, quality, and competitive activity.
- Define planning, coordinating, and controlling regional sales activities at assigned accounts.
- Adhere to company safety regulations and advise customers on correct use of product.
- Extensive regional travel maintaining high-level personal customer contacts.
- Attend professional meetings. Understand competitive marketing strategy and react or act accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Must have minimum of 10 years Sales and Marketing management experience with an engineering discipline preferred.
- Capable of customer negotiations.
- Ability to merge different job functions to achieve effective teams.
- Extensive travel within region with some international.
- Excellent follow-up techniques and introduction of new ideas.
